Brought to you by Florence Copper, he Third annual Roots N' Boots Queen Creek Pony Express will be looking for riders soon.
This year's Pony Express run is going to start at the Kearny Post office on Saturday March 21, 2026 at 730 am and carry special postcards, only available for this event, through Florence to Queen Creek. We'll be a part of the Saturday night Roots N' Boots Queen Creek PRCA rodeo pre-show making the final delivery to the QC postmaster after riding 75 miles on horseback.
The entire route is broken up into legs, each 1.5 to 2 miles long. Riders are responsible for carrying mail bags on horseback as quickly and as safely as possible for their assigned leg.
Rider registration begins 10/1 and is open until New Year's Eve or until we get 38 riders. New rider entry fee is $200. With that you get a PX messenger shirt, & dinner for you & a guest at the swearing in banquet on 2/28.
Riders need to be 18 years old and sign a liability waiver.
Postcards will be available to the public after New Year's Day.
We're happy to promote our Western heritage and Arizona history by tying the mining district with the agricultural areas of Central Arizona.
If you want to be a part of a unique event, work as a team, ride in the great wide open with a sense of urgency, I hope to see your name on the roster of new riders this fall.
