Welcome back to MazdACT for an event that was a surprise hit in 2025. This year, we're acknowledging one of our former greats in MX5 owner Gabriel Rockwood (sadly departed) by carrying on his name in a cruise he would've adored.

On Sunday 24 May, join us at Captains Flat Hotel for a pub lunch, spooky floating beer glass demonstration and street photos - all tucked away in a little corner of the world just 50 minutes from the nation's capital.

Guests are invited to gather for a pre-cruise briefing and departure point at TAFE NSW - Queanbeyan at 10.30 am. 

Please ensure coffee and fuel is packed and ready to go!

Breakdown

10.30 AM - Guests gather at TAFE NSW - Queanbeyan carpark, end of Macquoid Street for pre-event briefing.

11.00 AM - Departure for Captains Flat. Route is left onto Buttle St, left onto Mowatt St, left onto Ellerton Drive and right onto the Kings Hwy. After a climb out of Queanbeyan, we'll take a right onto Captains Flat Rd and continue the journey to the township.

Just before our arrival, we will take a right onto Miners Rd and zig-zag our way down into Captains Flat along the old mine roadway which offers a spectacular view of the village!

12.00 PM - Arrive to Captains Flat Hotel, 51 Foxlow Street. Vehicles to reverse into kerb 90 degrees for photos.

Lunch will be inside and in the rear courtyard, with orders at Australia's longest hotel bar. A local representative will also demonstrate the spooky floating glass trick that this haunted venue is well known for!

14.00 PM - Depart Captains Flat for Canberra (there may be an additional photo opportunity for guest vehicles at the historic timber Foxlow Bridge, on a short section of unsealed roadway via Hoskinstown Rd, just off Captains Flat Rd. To be concluded on the day)

14.45 PM - (Tentative) Arrive back to the national caption region.
