Although her paintings begin with the real world, they are not simply records of what she sees. Jenny’s work is both realistic and metaphoric, shaped by memory and enlarged by imagination. Familiar places can shift, colours can evoke a feeling rather than a particular moment, and ordinary scenes become something more personal.
