MAMBO-G: With over 30 years of teaching, learnt firsthand from both NYC & London legends of the Mambo/On2 scene in the 90's & early 2000's. Travelling to Congresses around UK, Europe & USA (specifically NYC) to access, learn, & gain knowledge directly from the Legends on the Mambo & Salsa scene.
Also purchasing crazy amounts of music on every visit!
With Social Dancing, & good technique at heart Mambo-G has gained a reputation as a good teacher & communicator who is always happy to share his decades of knowledge with his students.
T (Tamsyn): Starting her dance journey in Scotland, T found herself thrown into the rich Salsa & Mambo scene of London when she moved there in the late 90s. Quickly building a reputation as a great technical & fun social dancer T found herself being invited to teach with Legends of the London scene then (& now) like Super Mario, Tamambo, & Leon Rose.
Tamsyn has taught for years with Mambo-G, including Mondays (Pumphouse/ Off Broadway/ Bar 100) & at some of the first ON2 courses taught in Sydney back in the day!
Not teaching now as much as she would like, T is looking forward to bringing her London/ NYC style dancing flavour to share with you in this course!!
- Location: La Fiesta Dance Dance Factory. 112 Pyrmont Bridge Rd, Annandale. (opposite 7/11 Petrol station)
- Buses stop at the intersection of Pyrmont Bridge Rd & Parramatta Rd..
- Lots of free street parking.
- 3 mins on the bus from USYD.
- The Course will be in 2x4 week blocks (8 weeks in total).
- They will be on SUNDAY afternoons
- BEGINNERS 1pm Start (1.5 hour classes)
- INTERMEDIATE/ ADV 2.30pm-4pm
- Starting SEPT 28th - 19th OCT (4 weeks) then restarting 2nd NOV - 23rd NOV.
- The course is closed, meaning no casual drop-ins. We need to learn & progress each week.
- There will be History, Theory, Timing, Lead & Follow Technique, Spin techniques & tuning your ears to the rhythm section of the music.
- There will be new & higher level footwork & turn patterns each week.
- This WILL be challenging, but it will be ACHIEVABLE!!!

NOTE: We will learn NEW On2 material each week so the onus is on everyone to come to Monday to use it as a group practice session. I'm there on Mondays to answer questions that arise from practicing AND of course to dance/practice with you all 🙂
