We invite you to join us in establishing a micro-forest at our developing Food Sovereignty Hub site. Micro-forests are intentionally and densely planted native ecosystems designed to accelerate plant growth and restore ecological balance. Through this effort, we aim to enhance biodiversity, attract and sustain pollinators, improve soil health and air quality, and create a thriving space for ancestral foods to grow and flourish for generations to come.
The event will begin with an opening blessing, followed by a community planting experience. We encourage participants to dress appropriately for the weather. Planting tools will be provided; however, we kindly ask that you bring gardening gloves if you have them. Light refreshments will be available.
This event is open to Puyallup Tribal Community. The Puyallup Tribal community includes our members, relatives of our members, other Tribal members living in our community, and staff from any of the PTOI entities.
This event free, however, please be sure to register under "Tickets" link.
We look forward to cultivating this space together.
