- **Event Description**: Join TGS us for a fun Friday afternoon in the snowy woods of our 60-acre campus. TGS’s Assistant Head of School, Dave Steckler, and Fourth Grade Teacher, Benjamin Truesdale, will teach us the basics of fire-building, how to source your own materials, and even how to start a fire in wet conditions. Once our fires are roaring, we will toast marshmallows, sing, and explore the woods until the sun goes down. 

This free event is designed for K-6th graders, but you can choose your own level of difficulty, making this activity ideal for adventurers of all ages (as long as they’re accompanied by a parent!). 

The entire event will be outdoors (with indoor bathrooms available), so come dressed for March in Vermont—waterproof layers and boots strongly encouraged!
