- **Event Name**: Stéphane Wrembel Band
- **Event Start and End Date**: Sat, 27 Jun, 2026 at 07:30 pm
- **Event Description**: Stéphane Wrembel is widely regarded as one of the world’s most extraordinary guitarists, celebrated for his dazzling fusion of jazz, gypsy swing, and global musical traditions. Originally from Fontainebleau, France, Wrembel has captivated audiences around the world with a sound that is both technically masterful and deeply expressive. Rolling Stone called him “…a revelation.”

A prolific composer as well as performer, Wrembel’s original music has been featured in acclaimed films including Midnight in Paris (“Bistro Fada”) and Vicky Cristina Barcelona (“Big Brother”). His work on Midnight in Paris contributed to the Grammy Award®-winning soundtrack for Best Compilation Soundtrack. In 2012, he was personally invited by Hans Zimmer to perform in the “All Star Band” at the Academy Awards® alongside artists such as Esperanza Spalding, Pharrell Williams, and Sheila E.

With more than 20 albums to his name—including projects under his ensemble The Django Experiment—Wrembel continues to push creative boundaries. His 2024 release Triptych, recorded with pianist Jean-Michel Pilc, earned critical acclaim from DownBeat, Guitar Player, Acoustic Guitar Magazine, and New York Jazz Record. His latest album, Django New Orleans II: Hors-Série (2025), blends New Orleans brass and rhythms with his signature “Jazz Manouche” style, featuring new originals and even his debut as a vocalist.

Wrembel has shared the stage with an extraordinary range of artists, including Elvis Costello, Patti Smith, The Roots, John Scofield, Medeski Martin & Wood, and Sam Bush, and has been featured on NPR’s Mountain Stage and WoodSongs Old-Time Radio Hour. His music defies genre boundaries and speaks to listeners across musical worlds. As Wrembel puts it: “I just play my own music. It’s not only for the rock music lover, the Django Reinhardt lover or jazz lover. It’s for the music lover.”

Don’t miss this chance to experience Stéphane Wrembel live with his world-class band: Adrien Chevalier (violin), Ari Folman-Cohen (bass), and Nick Anderson (drums).
