After years of touring by sea, Arka Kinari's founding artists, Nova Ruth and Grey Filastine, step ashore to share a true story that is stranger than fiction.
Artivism at Sea is an intimate and thought-provoking live documentary performance that blends storytelling, live music, and cinematic video. Together, we'll cross oceans, peek behind the fences of seedy ports from Morocco to Mexico, visit bustling megacities and remote stilt villages, and survive on deserted radioactive atolls shaped by the legacy of nuclear testing in the Pacific.
Along the way, you'll be welcomed by soldiers on a barren rock, hosted by Sufi schools, punk collectives, and sea nomad communities, while discovering the extraordinary challenges of touring a floating arts production through some of the world's least-charted waters.
