Festival of 9 Lessons and Carols - a Public Event!

The Anglican tradition has inherited many ancient pieces of liturgy. Therefore, it may be surprising to learn that the Festival of Nine Lessons and Carols (traditionally held on or near Christmas Eve) is a relatively recent invention. It celebrated a century of the practice in 2018. Born from the profound grief and turmoil of the First World War, mere weeks after its conclusion, it embodies a powerful narrative of resilience and hope.

This year our Music Ministry is bringing this tradition to us on December 14th! As we begin the liturgical year, and our calendar year comes to a close, we will gather to celebrate this beautiful tradition in the Church. Everyone is welcome!
