Poverty Simulation Experience – February 17
St. Vincent de Paul invites you to participate in an eye-opening Poverty Simulation designed to help our community better understand the real-life challenges many families face every day.
🗓 Date: February 17
⏰ Morning Session: 9:00 AM
⏰ Afternoon Session: 1:00 PM
📍 Location: Parish Hall next to Sacred Heart Church
During this interactive experience, participants will step into the roles of individuals and families navigating limited resources and difficult choices. You’ll move through realistic scenarios and stations such as a grocery store, bank, employer, school, social services, and more — all while trying to make it through the “month” successfully.
This powerful simulation builds empathy, awareness, and a deeper understanding of the daily obstacles faced by many in our community. It’s a meaningful opportunity for volunteers, community members, and leaders to see firsthand how systems, decisions, and unexpected setbacks can affect families.
We encourage anyone interested in learning more about poverty in our community to attend and take part in this impactful experience.
