That is when Rutika tells him that the house is haunted.On the same evening, they play host to Sonali, Ketan's college bestie, and Durgesh, her quirky boyfriend. As the friction between the rational Ketan and the hysterical Rutika escalates from undertones to overtones, Rutika spills the beans: she tells Sonali and Durgesh about the paranormal occurrence in the house. Sonali, a psychologist, is sympathetic without committing to her belief. Durgesh, a self-confessing "spiritual but not religious" man, gives further wind to Rutika's experience. But much to her chagrin, Ketan dismisses it outright, prompting her to take up the challenge. She announced that no one would leave the house that night. They will all wait and stay awake for the spirit to come, who, she believes, will strike at the same time it has been striking for the past week.
