Take time out, grab a friend and join us for a hands-on workshop creating your very own DIY flower press. We're hosting over in Pukekohe thanks to the Franklin Arts Centre.
You’ll get everything you need to build and decorate your press - using waste MDF kindly prepped by the talented folks at the Waiuku Community Workshop. Once you’ve drilled and screwed it together (you’ll get to use real tools!), you’ll bring it to life with a splash of recycled paint to add your own style.
Perfect for those who love collecting, green thumbs and crafty people.
Adults and teens welcome. Recommended for ages 14+ (you’ll be using a drill, so you will need to be capable of operating).
👟 What to bring:
Closed toe shoes
Clothes you don’t mind getting paint on
Bring any flowers you'd like to press
Come make something beautiful and sustainable with us. Tickets only $14 (+booking fee). Book in the link.
Waiuku Zero Waste is a Community Recycling Centre committed to reducing waste through education. This workshop is about reusing materials and arming you with the skills to give using power tools a go. If you'd like to use the correct blotting paper used in proper flower pressing, you are welcome to source your own.
