- **Event Description**: Sea kayak from lodge-to-lodge around the warm waters of the Golfo Dulce on Costa Rica's South Pacific coast.

One of the world's deepest tropical fjords, the gulf has garnered world-wide attention as a critical breeding ground for humpback whales, and for its large resident populations of Atlantic bottlenose and pantropical spotted dolphins. 

Howler monkeys and scarlet macaws are your wake-up call  in your rainforest cabina. We stay in small, family-run eco-lodges serving fresh, Tico-style meals of local produce and fish.

We participate in a dolphin research boat trip and take short hikes through primary rainforest.

For experienced paddlers, able to do a wet exit/assisted re-entry. Daily mileage ranges from 10-14 miles, for a total of about 60 miles over the course of 6 paddling days. There is a 9-mile crossing of the Golfo Dulce on the last day.

Includes all activities listed, kayak rental, lodging, meals and transportation from arrival in Puerto Jimenez to departure. Does not include airfare, alcohol or optional activities.

Itinerary includes flying days to/from Puerto Jimenez, where we will meet you at the airport.

Add our Hiking Corcovado excursion Dec. 17-21 to the national park famous for its bio-diversity. We see four kinds of monkeys, sloths, myriad bird life, coatis, anteaters and possibly the elusive tapir.
