About the Instructor:

Laura is an instructor and practicing therapist who blends mental wellness with the healing power of creative expression.

Laura earned her Bachelor of Social Work from Colorado State University in Fort Collins, where she tapped into her passion for community-focused art during her undergraduate internship at the Sangre de Cristo Arts Center. She went on to complete her Masters of Social Work at Metropolitan State University of Denver and is now a Licensed Social Worker.

In her classes, Laura brings a unique therapeutic lens to the studio. She strongly believes in the benefits of hands-on clay playtime as a tool for grounding, mindfulness, and self-discovery. Outside of teaching and her clinical practice, Laura is a lifelong art lover, balancing artistic expression with work, exploring new mediums, and helping others tap into their own innate creativity.
