About the event

Writing the Ten-Minute Play
A LitArts RI Writing Workshop

About this Event

Tracing the playwriting process from impulse to script, this workshop covers the basics of outlining and drafting a ten-minute play. We’ll focus on adhering to a core idea within a specific, short time frame while creating interesting characters, and discuss practical matters like producibility, potential audiences and submission resources. The workshop is offered from an ADHD-informed lens; neurodivergent scriptwriters who feel stuck, directionless, or overwhelmed by lengthy writing processes are welcome and encouraged to attend!

Open to writers of all levels. This is a 2-week workshop, with a 2-hour session each week. Please prepare for approximately 3-5 hours of work between sessions.

This 2-week workshop meets on Wednesdays from 6-8pm at LitArts RI on the following dates:

Wed, March 4
Wed, March 11
