You'll also hear the story of the Greenway's transformation from a neglected urban river into a thriving public space that provides safe places to walk, bike, gather, paddle, and experience nature. CRMC staff will discuss how the Urban Coastal Greenway program supports meaningful shoreline access in developed areas, and how CRMC's Rhode Island Coastal and Estuarine Habitat Restoration Trust Fund provides grants to restore fragile ecosystems.This walk will kick off inside the Farm Fresh RI building at 10 Sims Ave., Providence.This event is sponsored by the Woonasquatucket River Watershed Council, Rhode Island Sea Grant, and the Rhode Island Coastal Resources Management Council.
