Using tools commonly employed by actors, we’ll explore the inherent multiplicity of our own voices, discover our emotional and vocal ranges and embrace our variable personas as we engage with character and story.Open to writers of all levels and genres with a work-in-progress. This is a 2-week workshop, with a 2-hour session each week. Please prepare for approximately 1-2 hours of work between sessions.This 2-week workshop meets on Thursdays from 6-8pm at LitArts RI on the following dates:Thurs, May 14Thurs, May 21About Your Teaching ArtistHUGO PIERRE MARTIN (he/him) is a professional actor, voiceover artist and hobbyist audioseries maker. He is beginning his teaching journey by running workshops at Massarts, Brown, RISD and other colleges in the area. He consults staff, faculty and students on podcasting and voiceover at the BAI at Brown University. Community Access LotteryLitArts RI offers a lottery for free admission to those who are from a community that has faced institutional barriers in the writing and publishing worlds or who lack access to resources and could not otherwise afford to attend.
