Rebecca is a postdoctoral research associate at Brown University and the author of Dear Miss Perkins: A Story of Frances Perkins's Efforts to Aid Refugees from Nazi Germany. She is writing a book on the American Revolution in female millennial pop culture from American Girl to Hamilton for St. Martin's. She has a PhD in history and MA in public history from American University and a BA in history and philosophy from Mount Holyoke College. Her writing has been published in The New Republic, The Washington Post, Smithsonian Magazine, Politico Magazine, Slate, and Ms. Magazine.
