Gallery Night

Bannister Gallery is a proud member of Gallery Night Providence. Visit https://www.gallerynight.org for more information on the free public event that takes you on an interactive monthly tour through various Providence Galleries.

The Bannister Gallery Stop on the Gallery Night Tour will feature works from our 2D Faculty Show, which displays a collection of recent works created by our own RIC Art Department Faculty in the Two-Dimensional Field.

2D Faculty Exhibition: August 31st, 2017 - September 22nd, 2017.

The Annual Faculty Exhibition is an opportunity for the college and the community to experience firsthand the inspiring talent that is in residence at Rhode Island College.

The artists on the faculty are very much a part of the current aesthetic and formal dialogue in their various approaches to art making, including research-based and interdisciplinary methods that are at the core of best practice models. RIC’s faculty exhibits widely and are recipients of many prestigious awards, grants, and residencies. As a result, students are encouraged by their example to think across boundaries. These distinguished and award-winning artists collectively bring a unique vision to the region’s cultural tapestry.

Represented are the works of the 2D Faculty and Adjuncts. Gallery walk-throughs with the exhibiting artists are included during the reception.
