With more than 20 years of experience across government, philanthropy, and nonprofit leadership, Kilah brings a deep commitment to ensuring systems better serve the people they’re meant to support.Kilah also serves as President of The Providence Shelter, a nearly 200-year-old Quaker-rooted organization supporting the educational and social advancement of historically underserved youth, and holds leadership roles with the Providence College President’s Council, the Rhode Island Red Cross, and Leadership Rhode Island. A graduate of the Institute for Nonprofit Practice’s Core Certificate Program and a 2024 Black Leadership Institute Fellow, she now mentors nonprofit leaders as a Senior Faculty Fellow. Kilah holds a master’s degree in counseling from Providence College and is ABD in Education and Leadership at Johnson and Wales University.Suggested donations of $5-10 per ticket helps support free public programs for women and gender expansive people.The Alcove is grateful to our community of members and supporters whose generosity makes free, public programs like this one possible.
