LIMITED RUN - TICKETS ON SALE NOW!
“Gods! Must she have all hearts which I would claim?”
Agnes de Castro. That’s the name on everyone’s lips: the Princess who loves her, the Prince who longs for her, the noble villains who lust for her. And Elvira, whose only thought is vengeance on the woman who has everything that should be hers.
Back by popular demand for a limited run! Audiences at Head Trick’s reading of Catherine Trotter’s 1695 revenge tragedy had one question – “Why isn’t everyone doing this play?” Now, Agnes de Castro returns in a full production!

"Agnes de Castro" concludes Head Trick's 2025-26 season "Love and Truth": a season about who we love, and what the limits of that love are. The season opened in August with "Dr. Korczak and the Children" and continued in November with "Design for Living."

ABOUT HEAD TRICK THEATRE
Head Trick Theatre is a performing group based in Providence, RI that puts on innovative productions of classic plays with a focus on the importance of liveness. Recent productions include "Design for Living", Noel Coward's sparkling romantic comedy of the entanglements between three bohemian artists; “Dr. Korczak and the Children”, Erwin Sylvanus's metatheatrical drama about actors trying to put themselves in the shoes of the Holocaust's victims and villains; “The Lucky Chance”, Aphra Behn's riotous sex farce satirizing marriage, money, and misogyny; and “R.U.R.”, Karel Čapek's farsighted thriller about robot rights. "Head Trick Theatre is clearly fighting above its weight in Providence’s theatrical ecosystem...such bold choices have led to creative accomplishments and no shortage of accolades." --Bob Abelman of The Boston Globe/Motif Magazine
