We are all navigating a digital ecosystem where truth and lies can be indistinguishable, and where information is created - at scale - to change what we believe, how we behave and who we vote for. If you want to build practical and relevant media literacy skills, this event is for you.The ABC in partnership with the Australian Library and Information Association and Western Sydney University has developed this workshop to equip communities to better identify misinformation. The 2-hour workshop will include a presentation, guided discussion and an activity. Following the workshop, participants will receive links to resources to explore at home. Please note that while this workshop has been developed around the ABC docuseries The Matter of Facts and includes resources and clips from the series, the workshop will be facilitated by City Of Prospect library staff.This is a free event, with bookings essential.
