Kemi kënaqësinë t’ju ftojmë në hapjen e ekspozitës “Butësia kontrollon fortësinë” në Bibliotekën Kombëtare të Kosovës.
Për herë të parë në Kosovë, artistet vizuale Anaïs Horn dhe Verena Walzl prezantojnë kërkimin e tyre artistik, duke eksploruar idetë e heroizmit, disiplinës dhe forcës së heshtur të butësisë.

Përmes portreteve monumentale, tekstit dhe elementeve performative, ekspozita reflekton mbi mënyrën se si shoqëritë bashkëkohore riformësojnë figurën e heroit, dhe e bëjnë këtë duke marrë në shqyrtim një praktikë sportive të papritur: xhudon.
Punët e dy artisteve, marrin vendimin të ndalin vështrimin, jo më në heronjtë e ekzaltuar të përfaqësimeve kombëtare të një narrative zyrtare por në atë që më shumë i ngjan një premtimi për çaste lumturie të së ardhmes. 

Në këtë rast artistet kanë vendosur të mos përqendrohen në atë çka është më shumë se sa në atë që pritet të jetë, duke vënë në qendër të fokusit vajzat e reja që ushtrojnë këtë sport. 

Një ode kushtuar procesit të bërjes, përjetësisht e pa përfunduar.

We are pleased to invite you to the opening of the exhibition “Softness Controls Strength” at the National Library of Kosovo.
For the first time in Kosovo, visual artists Anaïs Horn and Verena Walzl present their artistic research, exploring ideas of heroism, discipline, and the quiet strength of softness.
Through monumental portraits, text, and performative elements, the exhibition reflects on how contemporary societies reshape the figure of the hero, doing so by examining an unexpected sporting practice: judo.

The works of the two artists choose to shift the gaze away from the exalted heroes of official national narratives and instead toward what resembles a promise of future moments of happiness.

In this case, the artists have chosen to focus not so much on what already is, but on what is yet to become, placing at the center of attention the young girls who practice this sport.

An ode to the process of becoming, eternally unfinished.
The exhibition is curated by Blerta Hoçia.

The exhibition will remain open until 15 May 2026.

Anaïs Horn është artiste austriake që aktualisht jeton në Paris dhe  Lunigiana, Itali; praktika multidisiplinare e së cilës eksploron tensione ndërmjet pranisë dhe mungesës, duke ndjekur mënyrat se si kujtimet dhe historitë rezonojnë përmes pranisë spektrale të objekteve dhe hapësirave.

Verena Walzl është artiste vizuale, rezidente në Kosovë, praktika e së cilës përfshin tekstin, skulpturën, instalacionin, videon dhe performancën, duke eksploruar se si gjuha, gjinia dhe sistemet e disiplinës formësojnë trupat, marrëdhëniet shoqërore dhe marrëdhëniet mes njerëzve dhe kafshëve.

Blerta Hoçia është artiste dhe kuratore, praktika e së cilës lëviz midis fotografisë, instalacionit dhe projekteve kritike kuratoriale. Puna e saj trajton tema të kujtesës, traumës dhe narrativave periferike, shpesh duke u përqendruar në peizazhet e brishta të shoqërive pas konfliktit.

Anaïs Horn is an Austrian artist based in Paris and Lunigiana, IT, whose multidisciplinary practice explores the tension between presence and absence, tracing how memories and (her)stories resonate through the spectral presence of objects and spaces.

Verena Walzl is an artist based in Kosova whose practice spans text, sculpture, installation, video and performance, exploring how language, gender and systems of discipline shape bodies, social relations and human–animal relations.

Blerta Hoçia is an artist and curator whose practice moves between photography, installation, and critical curatorial projects. Her work delves into themes of memory, trauma, and peripheral narratives, often focusing on the fragile landscapes of post conflict societies.
