Old Oaks encompasses the chill-yet-funky acoustic music of singer-songwriter Frank Laufenberg. Their music ranges from 12-string renditions of classic tunes like Heart of Gold and What’s My Age Again to melodious acoustic indie originals. The songwriting floats between peaceful and gripping while carrying consistently emotive vibes. Frank's vocals and guitar interludes are complemented by the harmonious saxophone solos and alto flute riffs of Daniel Haschke. The trio is filled out by a variety of professional musicians -- Miles Morkri on keyboard will be featured regularly in the summer of 2025. They can also be seen playing with Madison’s award-winning funk-fusion band Wurk.
