Peter and the Starcatcher upends the century-old story of how a miserable orphan comes to be The Boy Who Would Not Grow Up. A wildly theatrical adaptation of Dave Barry and Ridley Pearson’s best-selling novels, this Tony Award-winning play brims with marauding pirates, jungle tyrants, unwilling comrades, and unlikely heroes. When a precocious young Starcatcher-in-training named Molly discovers that a mysterious trunk contains powerful starstuff, she and the orphans must race to keep it out of the fearsome Black Stache’s hands. Featuring a dozen actors portraying more than 100 unforgettable characters, the production playfully explores the depths of greed and despair, and the bonds of friendship, duty, and love—all brought to life through ingenious stagecraft and boundless imagination.
