Join us as we head out to one of our restoration project sites for critical tasks such as invasive species removal, spring planting, or installing cages around native plants to protect them from deer & beaver browse.Volunteer with Friends of Princeton Open Space (FOPOS) on Saturday, April 18th. There will be two volunteer sessions; the morning session is from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m., and the afternoon session is from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. Come to one or both. Bring a friend and groups are welcome!What to expect: Our volunteer sessions start with a short presentation about the scope of work for the day. We will then walk to the project site where volunteers will work to restore degraded habitats. This may include removing invasive plants or planting and protecting native species. The stewardship skills learned at these sessions can easily be applied to restoring habitat in your own backyard.Meetup Location: Main Parking Lot for the Billy Johnson Mountain Lakes Nature PreserveDirections & Parking: We will meet at the main lot for the Billy Johnson Mountain Lakes Nature Preserve.
