Throughout my teenage years, I was in and out of hospital after several attempts to end my life. I was bullied, misunderstood, and told I was attention-seeking. For years, I believed I wasn't enough—that I couldn't be loved, that I didn't belong, and that I'd never find my place in the world.In 2022, I was finally diagnosed with Borderline Personality Disorder (BPD). Receiving that diagnosis helped me understand myself in a way I never had before, but it also reminded me just how many people are silently fighting battles that others can't see.I know what it's like to feel completely alone. To believe there's no one to talk to. To think nobody understands.That's why Somewhere to Sit means so much to me.I can't change what happened to me, and I can't erase the years I spent believing I didn't matter. But I can choose to build something that reminds other people they do matter.If sharing my story helps even one person feel less alone, then every difficult moment has led me to something worthwhile.
