DAY 1 – Understanding myself & others
• Understanding reactivity, feelings, and needs
• Introduction to the NVC model
• Language that builds connection vs. triggers disconnection
• Listening to yourself to prevent burnout
• Developing empathy and deep listening skills
• Practicing with real-life scenarios
DAY 2 – Honest dialogue & collaboration
• Expressing yourself with clarity, authenticity, and compassion
• Engaging in challenging workplace conversations
• Improving meetings so everyone is heard efficiently
• Making clear requests
• Offering feedback that supports growth and connection
💬 About Nonviolent Communication (NVC)
NVC (also called Compassionate Communication) is a globally recognized approach that supports individuals and organizations to learn from conflict, strengthen trust, and collaborate more effectively.
NVC principles are used in organizations worldwide, including Microsoft.
👩🏫 The trainer
Myriam Verzat is a CNVC-certified trainer in Nonviolent Communication, based in Nanaimo, BC. She holds a Master’s degree in Communication and has over five years of experience supporting individuals, schools, and organizations across British Columbia and beyond.
Myriam brings warmth, clarity, and depth to her facilitation and is passionate about building more compassionate and sustainable workplaces and communities.
