Ya Badimo Fest

Ya Badimo Fest (“For the Ancestors”) is a growing cultural and creative homecoming festival that brings together artists, families, local entrepreneurs and heritage lovers for a day of music, healing and community. From music and storytelling to our heritage market and shared meals, it serves as a ceremonial return to what is sacred, joyful and collective — honouring African spirituality, oral tradition, creative expression and intergenerational cultural practices.

The 2025 edition, under the theme Lesedi Kganya, calls on us to honour the light within and around us. It is an invitation into a space of belonging, where culture is not only celebrated but lived!
