Based on the well known original 1900 storybook and early 1939 movie of Wizard of Oz, combined with the very popular recent version in Wicked - with such well known characters as Dorothy, the Scarecrow, Tin Man, Lion, Munchkins, Wicked Witch of the West, Glinda the Good Witch of the North, inhabitants of the Emerald City at the end of the Yellow Brick Road - and much more. 

Dress to impress (costumes encouraged but not essential). Costume ideas are being posted on our Facebook page - you could sew a costume, or adapt items from your own wardrobe or Op shop, or even borrow or hire a suitable outfit. 

All dances will be walked or talked through and called. No partner needed. No prior knowledge is required, but for an even more magical dancing experience at the ball come and learn the dances in advance at our weekly Wednesday evening classes in Deepdene.
