We are equipped to be generous where we are, and we are called to respond with generosity, love, and service on behalf of our neighbors. “What we can do: responding to God’s generosity” is the emphasis for our fall stewardship campaign. As people of God of Christ Lutheran, we experience how God’s gifts come to particular people, at particular times, in particular places. This fall we look forward to hearing from members of the congregation as they share about how God’s generosity has impacted their lives. The weekly themes include:
• September 14, “Giving it All Up”, Luke 18:18-27
How might we live in the present without the anxiety that we lack what we need?
• September 21, “Kingdom Investing with Worldly Currency,” Luke 16:1-13
How are our gifts faithful responses to mission and ministry locally and globally?
• September 28, “Opening Our Eyes,” Luke 16:19-31
What prevents us from seeing the needs of our neighbor and how is it a gift when we help them?
• October 5, “Saying ‘Yes!”, Luke 19:29-35a
How has God said “yes!” to the work the people of God of Christ Lutheran are doing and how are we impacting lives for the good?
