How would you like a day of beautiful mindfulness practices in a quiet setting? This day retreat will be a chance to take some time out to cultivate qualities of deep inner and outer listening, acceptance, gratitude and loving kindness. A day away from our usual responsibilities gives us the opportunity to deepen our ability to attend to our body, mind and emotions in a compassionate, safe environment which in turn has a positive impact on our day to day lives.
Myself and Rebecca Lowson of The Happy Sigh (both Mindfulness Association approved teachers) will guide you through a well balanced day of practices which will hopefully leave you feeling restored, refreshed. The day will include seated meditations and some very gentle mindful movement. Chairs will be set up for everyone to use however if you prefer to sit on the floor please bring along your usual meditation cushion/stool. We will be doing a deep relaxation/ body scan meditation which is usually done lying down so do bring along a blanket or mat to lie on and a blanket to cover yourself up to stay warm. It's also fine to do this one on the chair if you prefer).
We will be providing teas and coffee and some healthy nibbles. However you'll need to bring along a packed lunch. Our aim is to make this day suitable for everyone. If you are new to mindfulness you are also welcome. Our venue is the peaceful Tornaveen Community Hall (B9119 Echt-Tarland road). Plenty of parking available.
