                "description": " Karen Livesey is a qualified teacher, youth worker and experienced trainer. She began her professional career as a Primary School teacher in London before becoming a Senior Youth Worker and Advanced Practitioner for Lancashire Youth and Community Service. A management post she held for 26 years. With increasing issues identified in child sexual and criminal exploitation Karen pursued specialist training in child sexual exploitation, safeguarding, modern day slavery and sexual health. She completed Advanced training in Sexual health, Advanced Safeguarding, Adverse Childhood Experience training, Advanced training in Child sexual exploitation, and a PGCE at UCLan in “Leadership and Management in Social Work and Social Care”. \r\rKaren has extensive experience of working with children, young people and adults with vulnerabilities and complex needs. She was responsible for multi-disciplinary staff teams involved in center-based youth work, information, advice and guidance, detached youth work, youth council and sexual health provision. She managed projects and worked with multi-agencies dealing with case work management and early interventions related to diverse issues.\r\rIn 2019 Karen won a Propeller Enterprise Award from UCLan for training she designed and delivered. In the same year, Karen was nominated for an EVA – Enterprise Business Award as part of the “Inspirational Woman” category. Karen works for C.A.T - Child sexual exploitation awareness training and is an Associate Trainer for Talking life and Barnardo's.\r“Imperative information shared with practitioners, displaying vast knowledge   and experience.” -    Principal Lecturer, Social Work, UCLan\r\r\r“Karen’s teaching style was accessible and engaging. She was very up to date with current events which gave a richness to her session.
