The next step is to complete a beginners course, which then enables you to join an archery club!

Our next 6 session beginners course will be held at our range at Preston Grasshoppers Rugby Football Club in Preston.

The course will start on Thursday 20th August 2026 and will run for a total of 6 weeks from 7:30pm to 9pm.

On the course you can expect to cover the following topics:
* Safety and intro to shooting
* Range set-up
* Equipment set-up
* Shooting technique
* Sighted shooting
* Barebow shooting
* Scoring

The course costs £90 and payment must be made by bank transfer before the event to secure your space. Please note that the minimum age for this course is 10 and YOU SHOULD NOT BOOK THIS COURSE IF YOU ARE UNABLE TO ATTEND ALL SIX SESSIONS.
