- **Event Description**: Explore creativity outdoors in our all-ages Nature of Art class—a hands-on day of art-making inspired by the natural world. We’ll begin with a short, guided hike to observe, identify, and responsibly forage materials that will be used in three unique projects.

Participants will create clay slabs, imprinting leaves, textures, and found objects into clay pieces that will be kiln-fired at the University and available for pickup later. Next, we’ll make botanical prints, using gathered plants and gentle hammering to release natural dyes onto white cotton cloth—ready to take home the same day. Finally, we’ll design stick mobiles, exploring balance, composition, and movement by assembling sticks, branches, rocks, and pinecones with twine.

All materials and foraging bags are provided.
