Welcome to the Prescott Community Compost Project!

Each Sunday we host a volunteer work session where we process food scraps collected at the Prescott Farmers Market, drink coffee, and make connections. Learn about composting and how you can get involved in our community composting efforts.

At the Prescott Community Compost Project, you'll have the opportunity to get hands-on experience with composting techniques, ask questions to our knowledgeable staff, and connect with like-minded individuals who are passionate about making sure "waste" is not wasted.

Some tasks can be physically challenging. We love working hard outside in whatever weather. There are many tasks of all levels of physical demand and we encourage you to listen to your body during work sessions. We provide water, coffee, and light refreshments. We can supply boots, gloves, hats, and sunscreen. Please consider wearing work clothes suited for the weather.
