Step back in time and discover the untold stories, legendary figures, and ugly truths that shaped the rugged Arizona frontier. From the fiery destruction of Whiskey Row in 1900 to the real story behind Doc Holliday and Big Nose Kate, you’ll learn little known facts about our rich ranching community and the bloody conflicts associated with its early beginnings.  

Historians, folklorists and authors Lee Anderson, Brad Courtney, Alan Rockman, Drew Desmond and Warren Miller will bring their captivating research to life and guide guests through a wide variety of interesting topics featuring the fascinating and hidden histories surrounding our rich western heritage. Admission is free for museum members and guests with paid admission.

So, join the Phippen Museum for this special afternoon presentation and immerse yourself in the dust, grit and gun smoke associated with these tales of the old west, including outlaws who turned lawmen, like Arizona Charlie Meadows and Tom Horn, and the men of the U.S. Calvary who rode through these legendary lands.
