Since 1963, Civitan clubs around the world have set aside a week in February to celebrate clergy. The tradition was inspired by the story of the 𝐅𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐂𝐡𝐚𝐩𝐥𝐚𝐢𝐧𝐬, who sacrificed their lives on February 3, 1943, to save soldiers aboard the USS Dorchester. Their example of 𝐬𝐞𝐫𝐯𝐢𝐜𝐞, 𝐮𝐧𝐢𝐭𝐲, 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐥𝐨𝐯𝐞 continues to inspire Civitans and communities today.

• A small token of appreciation for each clergy member
