Discipline introduced a revolutionary lineup and a radically different sound for King Crimson, moving away from 70s rock theatrics towards rhythmic complexity and mathematical precision. The album is defined by the intricate, interlocking dual guitar work of Robert Fripp and Adrian Belew, and the powerful rhythm section of Tony Levin and Bill Bruford. Join us at The Listyning Room for a focused, high-fidelity listening session where the polyrhythms and innovative textures of tracks like "The Sheltering Sky" and "Frame by Frame" will be revealed in stunning clarity on our premier sound system.

This amazing LP will be experienced in full fidelity on our world-class stereo system featuring high-end equipment by Audio Note, Klipsch, and Cambridge Audio.

spIN Focus is a shorter event at TLR. There is not an extended presentation or lead up, just a focused listen to this landmark record. There will be a brief introduction and then a full play through of the album. We open on Saturdays at 1:00 pm for Open Spin (BYO music) and record cleaning. The feature LP spins at 4:00pm.

$10 Donation supports Center For Recorded Music 501(c)(3) and includes admission, complimentary snacks and beverages including soft drinks, flavored waters, and 1 complimentary adult beverages from a great selection of beer, wine, mixed drinks, and NA options.

Seating at The Listyning Room is on a first-come first-seated basis.  Donate in advance to secure a spot for these exclusive events. If any spots are left open, donations will be accepted at the door.

The Listyning Room is located inside the nbkc building at 3510 W. 95th Street, Leawood, KS 66206.  This is the north side of Ranch Mart, and there is plenty of parking for everyone next to the building.
