Tom Waselchuk’s Winter Trio featuring Matt Rodgers and Chris Wagoner
A concert of (mostly) Holiday music.
Tom Waselchuk is a veteran guitarist and vocalist with extensive experience in multiple genres. Tom performed with his Americana band The Dang-Its from 1998 until 2023 touring Wisconsin and surrounding midwest states, winning awards from the MAMA (Madison Area Music Association) for Best Country/Bluegrass Performers and best Country /Bluegrass Album in 2013. In 2017 he co-founded his current group, The Honey Pies, with vocalist Jodi Jean Amble.
Matt Rodgers (bass, vocals) brings a rich background to the Winter Trio. His extensive experience in everything from jazz, swing, and Latin music to pop, folk, and acoustic singer-songwriter styles allows him to shine in any setting. Matt performed with Waselchuk in The Dang-Its (2016 – 2023) and is also a member of The Honey Pies. He has collaborated with Lucas Cates, Mark Croft, Mambo Blue, Orquestra De Kache, The Madison Jazz Orchestra, and many others.
Chris Wagoner (violin, mandolin, vocals) currently tours with his wife Mary in the duo Gaines & Wagoner. Chris has been a guest performer with The Dang-Its for many years, both in live shows and in the studio. He has been the recipient of several WAMI (Wisconsin Area Music Industry) nominations and awards over the years for his work with Harmonious Wail and The Common Faces, and several recent MAMA awards for String Player of the Year (violin), Specialty Instrument (lapsteel), Best Male Vocalist, and a Lifetime Career Achievement Award. Chris is a much sought after studio player and has performed on hundreds of artists’ recordings.
