Jak může vypadat zapojování mladých do fungování kulturních institucí? Kde končí program pro mladé a začíná skutečné sdílení rozhodování? Panelová diskuze Young Generations in Cultural Institutions přinese několik různých modelů: Young Panel/Young Board ve VIERNULVIER jako kritický think-tank uvnitř organizace, Young Creators v rámci EHMK České Budějovice 2028 jako prostor pro iniciativu a projekty mladých, festival PLÁCEK jako platformu pro přibližování současného divadla středoškolákům a zapojování je do tvůrčích procesů, program INSIDE festivalu Divadelního světa Brno jako tým středoškoláků vstupující do festivalového zákulisí a dramaturgie a ARCHA+, která dlouhodobě hledá způsoby, jak být otevřenou platformou pro mladé publikum i začínající tvůrce a jak jim dávat prostor nejen na jevišti, ale i v tom, jak se program a instituce utváří.

V debatě se s hoststvem podíváme na to, co jednotlivé modely v praxi znamenají: jaké mají mladí lidé kompetence a mandát, jak se nastavuje spolupráce mezi týmy napříč generacemi, jak se pracuje s podporou a péčí a co je potřeba změnit uvnitř instituce, aby zapojení nebylo jen symbolické.

Panel je určen pro kulturní pracovníky a pracovnice, studentstvo i všechny, kdo přemýšlejí, jak budovat instituce, které s mladými generacemi skutečně sdílejí odpovědnost, hlas i možnost rozhodovat.

What can meaningful involvement of young people in cultural institutions look like? Where does a programme for young audiences end and genuine shared decision-making begin? 

The panel discussion Young Generations in Cultural Institutions presents several different models: the Young Panel/Young Board at VIERNULVIER as a critical think-tank within the organisation; the Young Creators programme of EHMK České Budějovice 2028 as a space for young people’s initiatives and projects; the PLÁCEK festival as a platform bringing contemporary theatre closer to high-school students and involving them in creative processes; the INSIDE programme of the Divadelní svět Brno festival as a team of high-school students entering the backstage and dramaturgical processes of the festival; and ARCHA+, which has long been exploring ways to function as an open platform for young audiences and emerging artists, offering them space not only on stage but also in shaping the programme and the institution itself.

In the discussion, we will explore what these models mean in practice: what competencies and mandate young people actually have, how collaboration between teams across generations is structured, how support and care are built into the process, and what needs to change within institutions so that participation is not merely symbolic.

The panel is intended for cultural workers, students, and anyone interested in building institutions that genuinely share responsibility, voice, and decision-making with younger generations.
