„Most significantly, The Raveonettes’ Pe’ahi II provides an absolutely essential cathartic sensory overload in their inimitable way.“ — Pop Matters
Od zrodu v roce 2001 The Raveonettes svým minimalistickým, syrovým zvukem odkazují k ikonickým kapelám jako The Jesus and Mary Chain, Ramones nebo The Velvet Underground, zatímco mísí vlivy garage, surf rocku a rock'n'rollu 50. a 60. let s hlasovými harmoniemi inspirovanými sourozeneckým duem The Everly Brothers anebo kapelou The Ronettes i produkčními technikami Phila Spectora a jeho vrstevnatými hlukovými stěnami.
The Raveonettes svou novou desku Pe'ahi II do smíchovské továrny přivezou ve středu 3. prosince.

Večer zahájí pražská kapela Hothouse, která se do Meetka vrací po dvou letech, tentokrát s deskou Finally We Are Well, Stable.

The monochromatic rock’n’roll of cult Danish duo The Raveonettes returns to MeetFactory after a decade, supported by Hothouse
Sharin Foo and Sune Rose Wagner last took the stage at MeetFactory back in early 2015 with Pe'ahi — their seventh studio album, released on their own label Beat Dies Records. This April, the band followed up with part two — Pe'ahi II, marking the tenth album in the discography of the alt-rock trailblazers of the early 2000s. The Raveonettes take their new record on a global tour later this year, featuring their second-ever show in the Czech Republic.
“Most significantly, The Raveonettes’ Pe’ahi II provides an absolutely essential cathartic sensory overload in their inimitable way.“ — Pop Matters
Since their formation in 2001, The Raveonettes have built their signature minimalist, raw sound on the legacy of cult bands like The Jesus and Mary Chain, Ramones, and The Velvet Underground— while blending garage and surf rock with the spirit of '50s and '60s rock’n’roll, further enriching their sonic palette music with vocal harmonies inspired by The Everly Brothers and The Ronettes, and production techniques of Phil Spector, with his signature walls of sound.
The Raveonettes will bring their new album Pe'ahi II to MeetFactory on Wednesday, December 3.

The night will open with the Prague-based band Hothouse, who are returning to MeetFactory after two years, this time with their new album Finally We Are Well, Stable. The fresh record, released in October on Kabinet Records, captures the absurdity of human behavior through the band's signature sound that blends noise rock and post-punk with jazz, as well as urgent vocals and lyrics that oscillate between feelings of alienation and hopelessness and a desire for authenticity and love.
