????? & ????r je vizuální dialog mezi přivlastněním a návratem – mezi tím, co bylo sladce okouzlující, a tím, co zůstalo trpce zapomenuté.
Karíma neangažuje, nevnucuje, ale pracuje s lidským podvědomím. Její umělecký přístup k „identitární politice“ je velkorysý – přesně tak jako význam jejího jména.

Výstava vznikla jako součást doktorského studia umělkyně Karímy Al-Mukhtarové na Fakultě designu a umění Ladislava Sutnara Západočeské univerzity v Plzni.

????? & ???? is a visual dialogue between appropriation and return – between what was sweetly enchanting and what remained bitterly forgotten.
Karíma does not impose or persuade but works through the depths of the human subconscious. Her artistic approach to “identity politics” is generous – just like the meaning of her name.

The exhibition was created as part of artist Karíma Al-Mukhtarová’s doctoral studies at the Ladislav Sutnar Faculty of Design and Art, University of West Bohemia in Pilsen.
