Set against the backdrop of historic architecture, the main markets are located at the Old Town Square and Wenceslas Square, only a five-minute walk apart. Visitors can immerse themselves in the festive atmosphere while browsing stalls filled with handcrafted goods, savoring authentic Czech food and drink, and enjoying traditional Christmas music performances. The Old Town Square features beautifully decorated wooden huts selling local handicrafts, festive foods, and an impressive Christmas tree adorned with 95,000 LED lights, while the Wenceslas Square market boasts its own unique charm, including an ice rink and demonstrations by artisan craftsmen.

The markets emphasize eco-friendliness by sourcing local produce and materials, thereby supporting local businesses and reducing carbon footprints. The stalls offer an array of traditional handicrafts such as Christmas decorations, ceramics, jewelry, and wooden toys, as well as a variety of food and drink options including roasted hams, grilled sausages, and traditional Czech pastries like trdelník. Visitors can enjoy mulled wine, local beers, and other warm beverages as they navigate the festive stalls. Daily performances on open-air stages at both markets include music and dance from local artists, with school choirs and folk groups adding to the festive spirit. Creative workshops for children and opportunities for photo-taking abound, making the Prague Christmas Markets a delightful experience for visitors of all ages. With a central location and a wealth of activities, the markets are not only a hub of holiday cheer but also a showcase of the rich culture and traditions of Czechia.
