PŘEDVÁNOČNÍ SLEVA DO 24.12.!!!
Mexický hudebník Fernando Corona alias Murcof strávil poslední dvě dekády prozkoumáváním styčných bodů mezi současnou klubovou hudbou a vážnohudební avantgardou. Lze jej řadit mezi klasiky žánru IDM, kdy ve své tvorbě kombinuje prvky ambientu, drone music, minimalismu nebo industrialu.
Fernando Corona se hudbě věnuje od konce osmdesátých let, hrál v rockových i jazzových kapelách, jeho elektronické alter-ego Murcof se ale rodí až na začátku tisíciletí, kdy začal samplovat skladby moderní vážné hudby a míchat je s minimal technem. Po prvotním okouzlení britským progresivním rockem objevuje Iannise Xenakise i György Ligetiho, a jako další vlivy uvádí i skladatele z tehdejšího Sovětského svazu, kteří byli v konfliktu s mocenskou strukturou – např. Giya Kancheli, Sofia Gubaidulina či Alfred Schnittke. Výrazně na sebe upozornil hned debutem Martes z roku 2002, na kterém propojuje elektroniku s latinoamerickou tradicí. Natáčel a vystupoval např. s trumpetistou Erikem Truffazem nebo klavíristkou Vanessou Wagner a bez nadsázky patří k nejoriginálnějším tvůrcům elektronické a ambientní hudby.

Mexican musician Fernando Corona, alias Murcof, has spent the last two decades exploring the intersections between contemporary club music and the avant-garde of classical music. He can be ranked among the classics of the IDM genre, combining elements of ambient, drone music, minimalism, and industrial in his work.
Fernando Corona has been involved in music since the late 1980s, playing in rock and jazz bands. His electronic alter ego, Murcof, was born at the turn of the millennium when he began sampling modern classical compositions and blending them with minimal techno. After an initial fascination with British progressive rock, he discovered Iannis Xenakis and György Ligeti, citing as further influences composers from the former Soviet Union who were in conflict with the power structure—such as Giya Kancheli, Sofia Gubaidulina, and Alfred Schnittke. He made a significant impact right from his 2002 debut Martes, which bridges electronics with Latin American tradition. He has recorded and performed with artists such as trumpeter Erik Truffaz and pianist Vanessa Wagner, and he can without exaggeration be considered one of the most original creators of electronic and ambient music.
