Moncrieff je umělecké jméno talentovaného irského zpěváka a textaře Chrise Brehenyho, který má tak výjimečný hlas, že už na něj po prvním poslechu nezapomenete. Když za pět nebo šest let někdo napíše 550 písní, musí být buď posedlý skladatel, nebo je v jeho životě spousta věcí, které si potřebuje zpracovat. Moncrieff splňuje obojí.
Očekávané Moncrieffovo debutové album „Maybe It’s Fine“, které vyjde v roce 2025 pod hlavičkou Warner Music Central Europe, je jeho dosud nejambicióznějším projektem. Dvanácti skladbami zve Moncrieff posluchače do svého světa a doufá, že se v něm mnozí poznají.
Moncrieff debutoval singlem „You Will Be Lost“ v roce 2014. Následovaly hity jako „Symptoms“, „With All Due Respect“ nebo „Warm“, který získal během pouhých dvou týdnů 6 milionů streamů a stal se vítězem RTÉ Choice Music Prize za irskou píseň roku 2023. V roce 2022 vydal Moncrieff stejnojmenné EP „Warm“ a v červnu 2023 nové EP s názvem „Highways & Hurricanes“. Jeho písně jsou neochvějně upřímné, hluboce osobní, zabývající se láskou, ztrátou, bojem, zranitelností a hledáním vnitřní síly.
Do pražského Café V lese se Moncrieff vrací už podruhé. V roce 2023 si podmanil fanoušky nejen svým nezaměnitelným hlasem, ale i přirozenou interakcí s publikem. Moncrieff is the stage name of the talented Irish singer-songwriter Chris Breheny, whose voice is so unique that you won't forget it after the first listen. When someone writes 550 songs in five or six years, they must either be an obsessive songwriter, or there are many things in their life that they need to process. Moncrieff fulfills both.
Moncrieff's anticipated debut album 'Maybe It's Fine', due out in 2025 under the Warner Music Central Europe banner, is his most ambitious project. With twelve tracks, Moncrieff invites listeners into his world and hopes that many will recognize themselves in it.
Moncrieff debuted with the single "You Will Be Lost" in 2014. This was followed by hits such as "Symptoms", "With All Due Respect" or "Warm", which received 6 million streams in just two weeks and became the winner of the RTÉ Choice Music Prize for Irish Song of the Year 2023. In 2022, Moncrieff released the self-titled EP "Warm" and in June 2023 a new EP called "Highways & Hurricanes". His songs are unflinchingly honest, and deeply personal, dealing with love, loss, struggle, vulnerability, and the search for inner strength.
Moncrieff returns to Prague's Café V lese for the second time. In 2023, he won over fans not only with his unmistakable voice but also with his natural interaction with the audience.
