Kdo jsme my?“ Poprvé byla vystavena na Světový den uprchlíků v roce 2017 a od té doby byla představena v různých zemích po celém světě. Vlajka slouží jako podnět k diskusi o globálním rozdělení a rostoucím strachu z „cizích“. Patří k uměleckému projektu Who is?, což je dlouhodobá iniciativa, která vytváří prostor pro otevřený dialog o migračních systémech a globalizaci. Projekt vyzývá veřejnost k zamyšlení nad tím, jak vnímáme jeden druhého. Iniciativa Who is? byla založena umělci Imanem Tajikem a Jonasem Jessenem Hansenem.

Součástí události bude společné čtení poezie a skupinová reflexe nad vlajkou a tématy, která otevírá. Čtení je otevřené všem – pokud se budete chtít zapojit a přečíst vlastní text, prostor je vám k dispozici.

Na zahradě Studia ALTA zároveň proběhne výstava plakátů z projektu Who is?, které vznikly na základě rozhovorů s lidmi žádajícími o azyl a dobrovolnictvem z Glasgow Night Shelter.

“Who Are They? Who Are We?” is a white flag emblazoned with the words “Who are they? Who are we?” It was first exhibited on World Refugee Day in 2017 and has since been shown in various countries around the world. The flag serves as a catalyst for discussions on global division and the growing fear of the “stranger.” The flag is one of the artworks from the Who is? Project—an ongoing art initiative created to provide space for open conversation about immigration systems and globalization. The project invites the public to reflect on how we perceive one another. The Who is? Project was founded by artists Iman Tajik and Jonas Jessen Hansen.

The event will include a collective poetry reading and a group reflection on the flag and the themes it raises. The reading is open to everyone – if you’d like to join in and share your own text, you are warmly invited to do so.

At the same time, the garden of Studio ALTA will host an exhibition of posters from the Who is? project, based on interviews with asylum seekers and volunteers from the Glasgow Night Shelter
