- **Event Description**: We would like to invite you to this year’s second lecture of the elective course Medicine as a Science.

This time, our guest will be Dr. Sarah Falah Abass Al-Hamami, MD, a young doctor working in the field of radiology.
Dr. Al-Hamami comes from Malaysia and completed her medical degree at the Second Faculty of Medicine, Charles University in Prague.

After graduation, she worked at the Proton Therapy Center in Prague, where she began her research focusing on immune cells. 
She is now based in Manchester, at The Christie NHS Foundation Trust, one of the largest single-site cancer centres in Europe, where she is involved in multiple ongoing research projects, as the clinic places a strong emphasis on cancer research.
Her lecture, “Advances in Radiotherapy and Immunology,” will explore her ongoing research and her personal journey in medical science as a young doctor.

She will also reflect on how early-career physicians can engage in innovative research and find their place in leading international institutions such as The Christie NHS Foundation Trust.

The lecture will be held in English on Monday, November 3rd, 2025, at 4:00 PM in Syllaba Lecture Hall.

The event is funded by the Division of International and Public Relations, Third Faculty of Medicine.
