Anādi is the most recent project of Govardhan das (FKA Griffin Pyn). It comes after nearly a decade-long hiatus from performing/releasing music.  During this time he re-examined and reconfigured his lifestyle to revolve around his spiritual practice and pursuits, and now lives in the holy city of Vrindavan, India where he is studying under his guru.

Before the hiatus, his two most prominent projects were Sewn Leather and Skull Katalog. These projects explored the liminal spaces and relations between Japanese Harsh noise, Hardcore punk, 80’s dancehall and dub, 90’s hip hop, and early industrial.

Anādi is a continuation of that exploration with a bit more of a metal tinge. Sometimes Anādi is a solo project and sometimes it is a full band.  The other members include Jordan DiDomenico, Baladeva das, and Vasudeva das.  Anādi has released one EP on Hundebiss Records, as well as a few self-released singles.  Currently they are working on a full-length album which should be ready by early 2026.
