The Finnish fusion folk band Slack Bird is touring around Europe with their new album "Jos emme saa tanssia". The tour brings Slack Bird to Prague where they'll be playing at Klub 007 Strahov with the Czech folk punk band Fail Together opening the night.

Slack Bird combines the best sides of the deep south and the cold north putting together classic Appalachian banjo playing and the dark melodies of drony Finnish traditional music. Hailing from Central Finland, Slack Bird has toured around the world from the clubs of New York City to mud huts in German forests and everything in between. So far Slack Bird has released three full-length albums, a bunch of singles, a couple of EPs, and in the spring of 2025 the fusion folk group will be releasing their fourth studio album "Jos emme saa tanssia". The upcoming full-length deepens Slack Bird's fusion of roots music adding early Finnish pop music from the 1920's, Balkan horns, punk, and New Orleans jazz into the mix of Appa-Nordic folk. In the wake of the album release, Slack Bird hits the road once again performing around Europe and the UK as a 5-piece band.

FAIL TOGETHER (CZ)
Fail Together je šestičlenná folk punková kapela z Prahy. Mají v sobě melodiku irských pubů, punkovou divokost i patos táborových ohňů. Začínali hrát ve třech na trávě a betonu pražských parků, přístavů a nádraží. Postupně se rozrostli o další členy a brzy si získali příznivce v Čechách i zahraničí. Hrají sypačky i dojáky na banjo, housle, valchu, bassbanjo, kytaru a cokoliv dalšího, co je zrovna po ruce nebo co si sami vyrobí a nástroje si mezi sebou na koncertech taky rádi mění. Jsou to příběhy o dobrém i zlém, čím si všichni procházíme, o zlomených srdcích, sebedestrukci a úzkosti, ale taky o laskavosti, přátelství a naději na lepší dny.
Předloni vydali desku Get Lost a momentálně chystají další. Zahráli si na festivalech jako Mighty Sounds, Banát v Rumunsku, Wunstock a KNRD festival v Německu, Boskovice, Fluff fest, Povaleč, Vlčkovice, MišMaš, Starák fest, Podzimní snění, nebo Meziprostor a měli možnost si zahrát společné koncerty s hvězdami amerického folk punku jako Bridge City Sinners a Apes of the state.
